Your experience begins at Moke Lake, where your ride ventures deep into remote valleys, native beech forests and along rugged mountain ridgelines, toward the Moke Lake lookout and along the Ben Lomond Ridgeline, with spectacular views of the Southern Alps, Lake Wakitipu, Cecil peak and Walter peak, offering breathtaking perspectives at every turn.
Halfway through the day, you will pause for a fully catered gourmet picnic lunch in a secluded alpine setting, providing a perfect moment to soak in the tranquillity and grandeur of your surroundings. The ride continues across glacial rivers, sweeping tussock country and through dramatic landscapes, some of which have gained fame on the big screen, finally making your way down Moke valley and back into base before giving your trusty horse a treat and saying goodbye.
